When Amateurs Dress Up as Professional Photographers
Don't be fooled by Joe Shmo's expensive camera. Anyone can buy photography equipment and call themselves a professional these days. The true test is when they are faced with harsh sunlight, dark churches, or fast movement. Can they step up to the plate and deliver beautiful images?
Chances are, the answer is NO!
This Halloween Season we thought we would share some true Wedding Horror Stories.
When Your Photographer Turns Out to Be a Scammer
A common sign of an Amateur is they don't provide a solid contract.
A couple hired their photographer who was advertising an 'amazing wedding photography deal' for upwards of $4000. The couple liked her work and booked her. She was 1.5 hours late to the wedding with no explanation. Five weeks after the wedding, the photographer contacted them saying that she had deleted all of their wedding and engagement photos without explanation and refused to give a refund or reshoot the wedding without further payment. -Huff Post
Just Because they Can Take a Portrait, Doesn't Mean They Can Photograph a Wedding
“My sister-in-law hired a fashion photographer ‘friend’ who gave her a next-to-nothing deal to shoot her wedding. He missed so much. Important wedding moments. Her dad walking her down the aisle? Not covered. Kiss at the altar? Out of focus…he just looked panicked and out of his element all day. I am sure in his own genre, or with more time, he would be great. But that counts for nothing in the aftermath. All she was left with, was some bit part memories of her wedding day, which for her (and us) was devastating.”-Book More Brides
